GBF Food Bank

181 South Service Road (side entrance) 905-309-5664

The GBF Foodbank is the primary service provided by GBF to persons of low income in Grimsby.

The GBF Food Bank operates year-round and offers monthly or occasional food supports to individuals who may be single parents, receiving government assistance, unemployed,  earning low or minimum wages amongst others. Items that stock the food bank are donated by individuals, churches, schools, businesses and service groups in Grimsby. As a member of the Ontario Association of Food banks (OAFB), we also participate in the National Food Sharing System and Foodbank Distribution Services out of the Waterloo Region Foodbank.

Financial donations to the GBF Foodbank are used to purchase milk and other perishables as well as grocery items when stock runs low.

The Grimsby Sobeys store provides shoppers with a convenient food drop-box for donations which is located inside their store on Main Street West. Food donations may also be brought to the Foodbank at 181 South Service Road during office hours.

Hours of operation are:

10 - 2 Monday through Friday

6:30pm - 8pm Tuesday Evenings
